This tapered ball nose bit is built for clean 2D & 3D CNC profiling, contouring and carving. With a size of 8×25mm, it produces smooth curves and fine details across wood, plastics, composites and aluminium. The up-cut spiral flutes clear chips fast for a high-quality finish (especially on the lower surface).
Key benefits
Smooth 3D finishes for carving, contouring and profiling with clean, consistent curves.
Up-cut chip evacuation keeps cuts stable and reduces recutting for a cleaner lower surface.
Nano coating improves hardness and heat resistance for longer service life and smoother cutting.
Suitable for wood, plastic, aluminium and non-abrasive composite materials.
Diameter 8mm Length 25mm Flutes Up-cut Use 2D/3D Profiling and Grooving
Nano coating for smoother, cooler cutting
An advanced nano coating increases hardness and heat resistance, reducing friction and helping prevent chip build-up on metals and plastics. This delivers cleaner surfaces, more consistent results, and longer tool life in demanding runs.
Reduced friction improves finish quality and helps maintain accuracy on finishing passes for pockets, contours and relief work.
Creative applications
Popular with sign makers, model builders and machinists for 3D reliefs, moulds, and artistic carving. Ideal for finishing passes on pockets and contours after a roughing tool, delivering crisp detail and a refined surface.

Why Trust our Tools

We use the very same tools we sell in our own CNC and Trade work, and have been for years. And trust, we have used and been frustrated with expensive sub-par tooling in the market like you have; and we want you to experience what its like to use amazing tools.

What if my Tool prematurely Snaps?

Likelyhood is that this is either due to incorrect speed/feed rates, the wrong diameter (size) being used, or too much material being removed in one pass.
Suggested fixes include: upgrading to a larger diameter tool, checking the material compatability and speed/feed recommendation on our product's page, or consulting our team on better recommendations.

How do I get the best tool Life?

Clean off any aluminium or plastic swarf that may be stuck to the tool, and wipe down with Isopropyl Alcohol, or Methylated Spirits.
Additionally, in running carbide tools, make sure that workholding is rigid and loose parts are secured during cutting to prevent vibration and premature tool snapping or chipping.
Ensure tool paths include lead-ins, and that tool stick-out is a minimal as possible.
Make sure you are using premium good-quality collets and tool holders with high-accuracy

How fast are orders dispatched?

Same day if before 11am, otherwise the next morning.
If your order is urgent, please add notes in the order and the team may be able to fast-track dispatch.

Do we offer trade pricing or bulk discounts?

Yes. Please contact the team first before ordering. We will assess the quantity and may provide bulk discounts via a coupon or setting you up with an account.

Can I use CNC router bits in a handheld router?

Yes, absolutely. You may be more prone to backlash and chatter without a rigid setup.

How do I get the best edge quality?

Sharp new tools always leave the best edge finish; therefore it is advantageous to use a roughing tool, and a new clean finishing tool for the last pass
