Specifications

Precision cutting. Clean results.

The 16mm 4-Flute Solid Carbide End Mill is built for hard-working metal machining where heat, load, and vibration quickly expose weaker tooling. Manufactured from premium Ceratizit K180 carbide and finished with a high-performance AlTiN coating, it is designed to hold its edge in demanding cuts through steel, stainless steel, Inconel, and hard metals.

Its unequal flute helix geometry helps break up harmonic vibration and chatter, delivering smoother cutting action, stronger finish quality, and more stable performance across aggressive roughing and controlled finishing operations. With a 45mm flute length and 75mm overall length, it offers a strong balance of reach and rigidity for serious CNC milling work.
Key benefits
01
Unequal helix flute design helps suppress vibration and chatter, improving surface finish, dimensional accuracy, and cutter stability in demanding metal machining.
02
AlTiN coating delivers excellent heat and oxidation resistance, making it well suited to high-temperature cutting conditions in stainless, Inconel, and hard alloys.
03
Made from Ceratizit K180 carbide for high wear resistance, strong edge retention, and reliable performance under heavy cutting loads.
04
4-flute geometry gives added core strength and supports efficient profiling, side milling, and finishing in rigid CNC machining environments.
05
Optimized for steel, stainless steel, Inconel, and hard metal machining where tool life, thermal stability, and cut control matter.
Designed for serious metal cutting
This end mill is suited to CNC machining applications where heat resistance, rigidity, and vibration control are essential to consistent results.

It is ideal for workshops machining tool steels, stainless steels, nickel-based alloys, and hard metals across operations such as contouring, side milling, slotting, and finishing on rigid machining centres.

Why Trust our Tools

We use the very same tools we sell in our own CNC and Trade work, and have been for years. And trust, we have used and been frustrated with expensive sub-par tooling in the market like you have; and we want you to experience what its like to use amazing tools.

What if my Tool prematurely Snaps?

Likelyhood is that this is either due to incorrect speed/feed rates, the wrong diameter (size) being used, or too much material being removed in one pass.
Suggested fixes include: upgrading to a larger diameter tool, checking the material compatability and speed/feed recommendation on our product's page, or consulting our team on better recommendations.

How do I get the best tool Life?

Clean off any aluminium or plastic swarf that may be stuck to the tool, and wipe down with Isopropyl Alcohol, or Methylated Spirits.
Additionally, in running carbide tools, make sure that workholding is rigid and loose parts are secured during cutting to prevent vibration and premature tool snapping or chipping.
Ensure tool paths include lead-ins, and that tool stick-out is a minimal as possible.
Make sure you are using premium good-quality collets and tool holders with high-accuracy

How fast are orders dispatched?

Same day if before 11am, otherwise the next morning.
If your order is urgent, please add notes in the order and the team may be able to fast-track dispatch.

What if I ordered the wrong bit?

If you wish to return, please see our return policy in the footer. There is a 15% restocking fee and freight is the customers responsibility.

Can I get technical advice before ordering?

Absolutely. Please feel free to call the team, who are more than happy to help, give guidance and point you in the right direction for your requirements.

Do we offer trade pricing or bulk discounts?

Yes. Please contact the team first before ordering. We will assess the quantity and may provide bulk discounts via a coupon or setting you up with an account.

Can I use CNC router bits in a handheld router?

Yes, absolutely. You may be more prone to backlash and chatter without a rigid setup.

How do I get the best edge quality?

Sharp new tools always leave the best edge finish; therefore it is advantageous to use a roughing tool, and a new clean finishing tool for the last pass
