This Compression Bit combines both up-cut and down-cut flute geometry to deliver chip-free edges on the top and bottom surfaces of your workpiece. With a 10mm cutting diameter and a 35mm cutting length, it’s engineered for CNC routing, joinery, and furniture production where clean faces and reduced finishing time matter. The compression action pulls and pushes chips toward the centre for a stable cut and crisp results on sheet goods and laminates.
Key benefits
Chip-free edges top and bottom — up-cut + down-cut flutes minimise tear-out on both faces.
Solid micro-grain carbide delivers rigidity, wear resistance, and consistent results in production runs.
2-flute geometry provides a smooth finish, stable cutting, and reliable chip evacuation at speed.
Excellent for plywood, MDF, solid timber, laminates and non-abrasive composites in CNC routing workflows.
Two tools in one — the up-cut section lifts chips while the down-cut section presses fibres down for a cleaner face.
Great on laminates & veneers where edge quality matters and post-sanding needs to be minimal.
Cutting size 10mm × 35mm Flutes 2 Build Micro-grain carbide
Versatility and benefits
Thanks to its 2-flute compression geometry, this bit excels at dados, grooves, slots, mortises and edge trimming. It’s trusted by cabinetmakers, sign makers, and CNC hobbyists for cutting hardwoods, laminates, veneers and common sheet materials. Whether you’re creating pockets, trimming laminates, or nesting parts, this compression bit reduces tear-out and improves throughput.

Why Trust our Tools

We use the very same tools we sell in our own CNC and Trade work, and have been for years. And trust, we have used and been frustrated with expensive sub-par tooling in the market like you have; and we want you to experience what its like to use amazing tools.

What if my Tool prematurely Snaps?

Likelyhood is that this is either due to incorrect speed/feed rates, the wrong diameter (size) being used, or too much material being removed in one pass.
Suggested fixes include: upgrading to a larger diameter tool, checking the material compatability and speed/feed recommendation on our product's page, or consulting our team on better recommendations.

How do I get the best tool Life?

Clean off any aluminium or plastic swarf that may be stuck to the tool, and wipe down with Isopropyl Alcohol, or Methylated Spirits.
Additionally, in running carbide tools, make sure that workholding is rigid and loose parts are secured during cutting to prevent vibration and premature tool snapping or chipping.
Ensure tool paths include lead-ins, and that tool stick-out is a minimal as possible.
Make sure you are using premium good-quality collets and tool holders with high-accuracy

How fast are orders dispatched?

Same day if before 11am, otherwise the next morning.
If your order is urgent, please add notes in the order and the team may be able to fast-track dispatch.

What if I ordered the wrong bit?

If you wish to return, please see our return policy in the footer. There is a 15% restocking fee and freight is the customers responsibility.

Can I get technical advice before ordering?

Absolutely. Please feel free to call the team, who are more than happy to help, give guidance and point you in the right direction for your requirements.

Do we offer trade pricing or bulk discounts?

Yes. Please contact the team first before ordering. We will assess the quantity and may provide bulk discounts via a coupon or setting you up with an account.

Can I use CNC router bits in a handheld router?

Yes, absolutely. You may be more prone to backlash and chatter without a rigid setup.

How do I get the best edge quality?

Sharp new tools always leave the best edge finish; therefore it is advantageous to use a roughing tool, and a new clean finishing tool for the last pass
