The TCT Chip Breaker Bit uses serrated chipbreaker flutes to fracture long chips into smaller pieces for better chip control and lower cutting resistance. With a cutting diameter/length of 6×22mm, it’s purpose-built for aggressive roughing, slotting and pocketing in hardwoods, plywood and composites.
Key benefits
Serrated chipbreaker flutes fracture chips to prevent long-stringy swarf and clogging.
Reduced cutting resistance lowers heat build-up and helps push higher feed rates.
Tungsten carbide tips on a sturdy steel body withstand high cutting forces and stay sharp longer.
Excels in hardwoods, plywood and non-abrasive composites for heavy stock removal.

Performance highlights
Breaking chips into smaller fragments reduces heat build-up and helps delay tool wear during aggressive cuts. While primarily a roughing tool, it can still deliver surprisingly good wall finishes and works well for slotting and profile cuts where chip evacuation and vibration control matter.

Why Trust our Tools

We use the very same tools we sell in our own CNC and Trade work, and have been for years. And trust, we have used and been frustrated with expensive sub-par tooling in the market like you have; and we want you to experience what its like to use amazing tools.

What if my Tool prematurely Snaps?

Likelyhood is that this is either due to incorrect speed/feed rates, the wrong diameter (size) being used, or too much material being removed in one pass.
Suggested fixes include: upgrading to a larger diameter tool, checking the material compatability and speed/feed recommendation on our product's page, or consulting our team on better recommendations.

How do I get the best tool Life?

Clean off any aluminium or plastic swarf that may be stuck to the tool, and wipe down with Isopropyl Alcohol, or Methylated Spirits.
Additionally, in running carbide tools, make sure that workholding is rigid and loose parts are secured during cutting to prevent vibration and premature tool snapping or chipping.
Ensure tool paths include lead-ins, and that tool stick-out is a minimal as possible.
Make sure you are using premium good-quality collets and tool holders with high-accuracy

How fast are orders dispatched?

Can I use CNC router bits in a handheld router?

Yes, absolutely. You may be more prone to backlash and chatter without a rigid setup.

How do I get the best edge quality?

Sharp new tools always leave the best edge finish; therefore it is advantageous to use a roughing tool, and a new clean finishing tool for the last pass
