Designed specifically for non-ferrous metals, this Aluminium Up Spiral Router Bit uses a sharp single-flute up-cut geometry to clear chips fast and stay stable at higher feed rates. The compact 6mm × 15mm cutting size is ideal for aluminium sheet work, plus brass, copper and soft plastics. Solid carbide construction keeps deflection low for precise, repeatable cuts.
Key benefits
Maximum chip evacuation from the single-flute up-cut design—cleaner cutting and less recutting.
Mirror-polished flute for razor-sharp edges and reduced chip re-welding—helps keep finishes bright.
Lower heat, less gumming—polish helps shed chips and dissipate heat when routing plastics and aluminium composites.
Rigid solid carbide for accuracy—minimises deflection for cleaner edges and better dimensional control.
Diameter 6mm Cut Length 15mm Flutes 1 Use case Non-ferrous metals
Mirror finish for clean edges
The mirror-polished flute reduces chip re-welding and helps shed heat, giving smoother edges in aluminium and preventing melting or gumming in soft plastics and aluminium composites.
Cleaner chip flow means lower heat, fewer burrs, and a more consistent finish across long runs and nested jobs.
Why choose this bit?
This single-flute up-spiral excels at slotting, contouring, and pocketing where chip clearance is everything. The large flute volume evacuates chips quickly, enabling higher feed rates while keeping edges clean. It’s a go-to for ACM work, sign making, and general CNC routing in aluminium, brass, copper and soft plastics.

Why Trust our Tools

We use the very same tools we sell in our own CNC and Trade work, and have been for years. And trust, we have used and been frustrated with expensive sub-par tooling in the market like you have; and we want you to experience what its like to use amazing tools.

What if my Tool prematurely Snaps?

Likelyhood is that this is either due to incorrect speed/feed rates, the wrong diameter (size) being used, or too much material being removed in one pass.
Suggested fixes include: upgrading to a larger diameter tool, checking the material compatability and speed/feed recommendation on our product's page, or consulting our team on better recommendations.

How do I get the best tool Life?

Clean off any aluminium or plastic swarf that may be stuck to the tool, and wipe down with Isopropyl Alcohol, or Methylated Spirits.
Additionally, in running carbide tools, make sure that workholding is rigid and loose parts are secured during cutting to prevent vibration and premature tool snapping or chipping.
Ensure tool paths include lead-ins, and that tool stick-out is a minimal as possible.
Make sure you are using premium good-quality collets and tool holders with high-accuracy

How fast are orders dispatched?

Same day if before 11am, otherwise the next morning.
If your order is urgent, please add notes in the order and the team may be able to fast-track dispatch.

What if I ordered the wrong bit?

If you wish to return, please see our return policy in the footer. There is a 15% restocking fee and freight is the customers responsibility.

Can I get technical advice before ordering?

Absolutely. Please feel free to call the team, who are more than happy to help, give guidance and point you in the right direction for your requirements.

Do we offer trade pricing or bulk discounts?

Yes. Please contact the team first before ordering. We will assess the quantity and may provide bulk discounts via a coupon or setting you up with an account.

Can I use CNC router bits in a handheld router?

Yes, absolutely. You may be more prone to backlash and chatter without a rigid setup.

How do I get the best edge quality?

Sharp new tools always leave the best edge finish; therefore it is advantageous to use a roughing tool, and a new clean finishing tool for the last pass
