Designed specifically for non‑ferrous metals, the Aluminium Up Spiral Router Bit features a sharp single‑flute up‑cut geometry that clears chips efficiently. The cutting diameter and length of 6x15mm make it suitable for routing aluminium sheets, brass, copper and soft plastics. Its solid carbide construction ensures rigidity and minimal deflection, providing precise cuts at high feed rates.
A DLC coating creates an ultra‑hard, low‑friction surface that prevents chip welding and sticking during aluminium machining. This ensures chips evacuate smoothly and the cutting edge stays sharp, delivering a mirror‑like finish on the cut surface.
Why Choose This Bit?
Additionally, This single‑flute bit excels in aluminium composite panel work, sign making and general CNC routing. The large flute volume allows chips to clear quickly, enabling higher feed rates while maintaining a polished finish. Whether you’re slotting, contouring or pocketing, this bit produces smooth edges without burrs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why Trust our Tools
We use the very same tools we sell in our own CNC and Trade work, and have been for years. And trust, we have used and been frustrated with expensive sub-par tooling in the market like you have; and we want you to experience what its like to use amazing tools.
What if my Tool prematurely Snaps?
Likelyhood is that this is either due to incorrect speed/feed rates, the wrong diameter (size) being used, or too much material being removed in one pass.
Suggested fixes include: upgrading to a larger diameter tool, checking the material compatability and speed/feed recommendation on our product's page, or consulting our team on better recommendations.
How do I get the best tool Life?
Clean off any aluminium or plastic swarf that may be stuck to the tool, and wipe down with Isopropyl Alcohol, or Methylated Spirits.
Additionally, in running carbide tools, make sure that workholding is rigid and loose parts are secured during cutting to prevent vibration and premature tool snapping or chipping.
Ensure tool paths include lead-ins, and that tool stick-out is a minimal as possible.
Make sure you are using premium good-quality collets and tool holders with high-accuracy
How fast are orders dispatched?
Same day if before 11am, otherwise the next morning.
If your order is urgent, please add notes in the order and the team may be able to fast-track dispatch.
What if I ordered the wrong bit?
If you wish to return, please see our return policy in the footer. There is a 15% restocking fee and freight is the customers responsibility.
Can I get technical advice before ordering?
Absolutely. Please feel free to call the team, who are more than happy to help, give guidance and point you in the right direction for your requirements.
Do we offer trade pricing or bulk discounts?
Yes. Please contact the team first before ordering. We will assess the quantity and may provide bulk discounts via a coupon or setting you up with an account.
Can I use CNC router bits in a handheld router?
Yes, absolutely. You may be more prone to backlash and chatter without a rigid setup.
How do I get the best edge quality?
Sharp new tools always leave the best edge finish; therefore it is advantageous to use a roughing tool, and a new clean finishing tool for the last pass
