Designed specifically for non-ferrous metals, this Aluminium Up Spiral Router Bit uses a sharp single-flute up-cut geometry to evacuate chips fast and stay stable at higher feed rates. The 6mm × 15mm cutting diameter/length is ideal for aluminium sheet work, plus brass, copper and soft plastics. Solid carbide construction keeps deflection low for cleaner edges and tighter tolerance control.
Key benefits
Maximum chip evacuation from the single-flute up-cut design—less recutting, cleaner edges.
DLC coating adds an ultra-hard, low-friction surface that resists chip welding and sticking.
Lower friction means lower heat, smoother chip flow, and more consistent finishes over long runs.
6mm × 15mm cutting size gives fast material removal while keeping control in profiles and pockets.
Diameter 6mm Cut Length 15mm Flutes 1 Materials Aluminium / Brass / Copper
DLC coating for anti-stick machining
A diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating creates an ultra-hard, low-friction barrier that helps stop aluminium chips from welding to the flute. The result is smoother chip evacuation, less heat build-up, and a mirror-like finish on the cut surface.
Reduced chip welding means cleaner edges, lower heat, and consistent finishes at higher feeds.
Versatility and benefits
This single-flute bit is a favourite for ACM work, sign making and general CNC routing where chip clearance matters. The large flute volume clears chips quickly, letting you push feed rates while maintaining a polished finish. Whether you’re slotting, contouring, or pocketing, it produces smooth edges with minimal burring in aluminium, brass, copper and soft plastics.

Why Trust our Tools

We use the very same tools we sell in our own CNC and Trade work, and have been for years. And trust, we have used and been frustrated with expensive sub-par tooling in the market like you have; and we want you to experience what its like to use amazing tools.

What if my Tool prematurely Snaps?

Likelyhood is that this is either due to incorrect speed/feed rates, the wrong diameter (size) being used, or too much material being removed in one pass.
Suggested fixes include: upgrading to a larger diameter tool, checking the material compatability and speed/feed recommendation on our product's page, or consulting our team on better recommendations.

How do I get the best tool Life?

Clean off any aluminium or plastic swarf that may be stuck to the tool, and wipe down with Isopropyl Alcohol, or Methylated Spirits.
Additionally, in running carbide tools, make sure that workholding is rigid and loose parts are secured during cutting to prevent vibration and premature tool snapping or chipping.
Ensure tool paths include lead-ins, and that tool stick-out is a minimal as possible.
Make sure you are using premium good-quality collets and tool holders with high-accuracy

How fast are orders dispatched?

Same day if before 11am, otherwise the next morning.
If your order is urgent, please add notes in the order and the team may be able to fast-track dispatch.

What if I ordered the wrong bit?

If you wish to return, please see our return policy in the footer. There is a 15% restocking fee and freight is the customers responsibility.

Can I get technical advice before ordering?

Absolutely. Please feel free to call the team, who are more than happy to help, give guidance and point you in the right direction for your requirements.

Do we offer trade pricing or bulk discounts?

Yes. Please contact the team first before ordering. We will assess the quantity and may provide bulk discounts via a coupon or setting you up with an account.

Can I use CNC router bits in a handheld router?

Yes, absolutely. You may be more prone to backlash and chatter without a rigid setup.

How do I get the best edge quality?

Sharp new tools always leave the best edge finish; therefore it is advantageous to use a roughing tool, and a new clean finishing tool for the last pass
