Atlas Tools surface planer router bits are built for fast, clean material removal across large flat areas. They are ideal for CNC spoilboard surfacing, timber slab flattening, board levelling, rebating and general face-cleaning work where a smooth, consistent finish matters.

These tools use replaceable carbide inserts, allowing each cutting edge to be rotated or replaced instead of discarding the full cutter body. This makes them a practical choice for workshops cutting MDF, plywood, hardwood, softwood and other timber-based sheet materials.

The wide cutting diameter helps reduce machining time compared with smaller router bits, while the insert-style cutting system gives reliable performance across repeated surfacing jobs. Use them for preparing spoilboards, cleaning up uneven panels, flattening glued boards, or levelling timber before finishing.

For best results, use stable workholding, correct spindle speed, suitable feed rate and shallow passes, especially when flattening uneven stock or surfacing harder timber.
